The NI Audio Kontrol works on 2-input 4-input bus-power. The outer covering of the AK1 is a blend of metallic shine and shimmering black plastic which gives it an enticing appearance. The AK1 is a compatible unit which can be easily carried along with other stuff, in your laptop bag. The light-weight and sturdy aluminum casing makes it an easy carry and damage-resistant.
The front panel comprises of the audio inputs, level controls, mode buttons, and headphone outputs, which is a very user friendly design. For increased accessibility, the controls for the balanced outputs which are at the back are present in the front panel itself. These knobs act as universal controls and are able to control sound output levels of the headphones and level of direct monitoring. When operating with a solitary input, the “MONO” button activates direct monitoring which connects input signals directly to one of the output signals.
