Exercise Videos are Perfect During Pregnancy
If you are pregnant you understand that even though this is one of the most amazing experiences for a women, staying healthy is a key ingredient to good pregnancy and many women are doing so with the help of home exercise videos. Think about it – exercising at home with a video is the perfect solution for a pregnant women who’s energy level changes from hour to hour. When planning your workout routine, the first thing you must do is to check with your doctor and make sure that exercise is ok for you. Most doctors want there patients to exercise while pregnant but many may have specific suggestions to how hard you workout or what you do, so it is critical before to talk to your doctor about exercise throughout your entire pregnancy. But as a basic rule of thumb, if you were exercising regularly before you were pregnant, most doctors are just fine with you continuing the same program, at least for the first three or four months.
One thing many pregnant women need to change in their workout plan is the way they work their abs. After the first trimester, it is recommended to be on your back for no longer than about seven minutes, but the good news is there are so many great ab exercises you can do instead of crunches. Pelvic tilts, while on all fours, is a great alternative to standard crunches while pregnant. This exercise can be done standing or on a mat on all fours, to do the it on the floor on a mat, place your hands under your shoulders and your knees under your hips and inhale as you squeeze your abs. Now hold the contraction for between five to ten seconds and slowly release it, repeating the exercise eight to ten times.
Since pregnancy is a consistently changing state, it is important to remember that what you could do one day, may make you uncomfortable or even sick the next. So stop worrying about doing the same workout as the day before and just understand your body is in a constant state of change, and go get a few workout videos and simply choose the right video for who you feel that particular day.
